OOTD :)

Hello lovlies! Sorry i havent been posting very regularly, ive been super busy with work! So today i have been to the gym and now im going round my nans with the family to have some lunch/dinner. So i've changed into a casual but nice outfit :)

My cardigan has been stolen from my mum, i think its vintage :)
Everything else is from topshop!
My creepers are also stolen from my sister, but she was going to throw them out anyway so yay! :) I am not sure where they are from :\
This outfit is super comfy and i love the batwing sleeves right at the bottom of the cardigan, i think its different!

Hope to speak to you all in the comments, and i hope you're having a lovely day!

(new mua lipstick in shade 13 - urban decay naked 2 palette in Bootycall, Tease and Foxy.) also, the lighting makes it look like ive only done one eye :( dont worry, thats not a new look im going for!

BYE! :)

Seven Deadly Sins Of Beauty Tag

Hello lovlies! I was tagged by the beautyful Belle over at http://mascara-and-maltesers.blogspot.co.uk :) So thankyou Belle! lets do this!

Greed- what is your most expensive beauty item?
I'm actually quite good when it comes to finding good deals on my beauty items. But probably the most expensive item (that i can think of right now) is my MAC brush set. It was £40-45, so for that to be one of my most expensive items i dont think it that bad!

Sloth- which product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
For some reason, i just tend to not put on lipstick (im trying now!). After i put all the rest of my makeup on i usually cant be bothered to put on lipstick which would be the last thing i do.

Wrath- which item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
Eyeshadow. No matter how much primer i put on, it still fades a lot and creases into my eye socket if that makes sense. So if i wear a dark eyeshadow by the end of the day i tend to get a black/dark line across my crease :(

Gluttony- what brand makes up most of your make-up collection?
Probably, MUA or maybelline or rimmel. Haha, sorry there's about the same of all of them!

Pride- which product gives you the most confidence?
Probably mascara as i dont like my eyelashes without it, but also foundation. Especially when i have quite a few blemishes here and there.

Lust- which item is at the top of your beauty wish list?
Probably the Naked Basics palette, it looks so nice and just the right amount of colours :)

Envy- which make up product/look is great on others but not yourself?
Smokey eyes, or filled in eyebrows (not too much). I just cant seem to pull the two looks off at all :(

MUA Lip Products Review

Hey guys! So today i'm going to be reviewing MUA's old and new lip products :) I recently went on a little splurge in Superdrug including face products (which i will review tomorrow). So lets start with the lipsticks :)

(MUA Lipstick in Shade 11)
 (MUA Lipstick in Shade 3)
(MUA Lipstick in shade 13)
I got these lipsticks in shade 13, 3 and 11 :) I LOVE THEM. They were on offer for 2 for 3 lipsticks :) and other ranges! So i couldnt resist, i wanted to get 3 completely different colours. Here are the swatches:
(In order - left to right - Shade 11, shade 3, shade 13)

I tried them all quickly to test them out before i went out and they were super soft and didnt feel like a £1 product. I never usually wear bright red lipstick but i wanted to take a risk and i really like it! They feel really smooth and dont dry my lips, it doesnt cake up on my lips and the colour is very vibrant! Im so glad i picked these 3 lipsticks up and i will definately be repurchasing!
Next, i bought their power pout lip tint and balm:

(MUA Power Pout in shade 'Irreplacable

I didnt realise it was also a balm and i was so surprised with how moisturising yet pigmented it was! Im so happy with it and wore it out to dinner tonight and it didnt fade a bit :) Also, i feel that they could be a dupe for Clinque's chubby sticks or Revlon's lip pencil/sticks (cant remember what they are called haha). So pleased with it :) Here is the swatch for it:

Lastly, i picked up their lipgloss in shade 'my lips are sealed'. I love it, i wore it for work all day and it didnt fade one bit. It lasted all day and stayed very bright and although i have very dry lips it didnt fade at all! :) I also feel that this good be a good dupe for the Apocolips Lip Laquer as its very intense!

(MUA High Intensity Lipsgloss in 'Lips Are Sealed'

All of this together cost £7-8! Crazy, and so totally worth the price (worth more), they are so great for their prices i find it crazy! I definitely recommend all their lip products and will be repurchasing more soon :)

What do you guys think of MUA's products? I love them and their prices haha! Let me know what you think in the comments.
Much love,
Jessica xo

Being a Blogger/Youtuber

Hello!
I've only been on this whole beauty blogging scene for about a week now (although i've stalked everyone else's blogs for much longer) and i'm already loving it! Seeing other peoples blogs and opinions inspires me to share my own and come out of my comfort zone and try new things! I never used to be like that, and i love being able to help others with reviews and opinions and such. I'm also on youtube too and i've started to write down ideas for my blog and youtube which you can see...

I just love it already so i know there will be even more to come! Just wanted to post this as i've been sick for the past few days and blogging and reading everyone else's blogs has really cheered me up! I can't wait to see what the future brings! (Cheesy i know...)

PS. I BOUGHT THIS AMAZING PINAFORE THAT BEAUTYCRUSH HAS...

(From beautycrush.co.uk)

I'm so excited to receive it and you can expect a OOTD with this sometime next week, also with a rather lovely pair of heels from h&m. But i wont give too much away!

Hope you all have a lovely night/day!
Much love,
Jessica xo

Essie Nail Polish in Lapiz of luxury review

Hello girls! (And guys)!
Today I'm going to be talking about the Essie nail polishes. I LOVE them! They dry so much faster than other nail polish brands and that's good for me as I tend to stupidly do them as I'm leaving the front door! I also think they don't really chip and you don't need to many coats!

(Essie in Lapiz Of Luxury)

I really like this colour for spring as it's not too dark or bright, it's just the right colour for me haha! Here it is after 1 coat:

So you do need more than one coat as you can see, but so do most nail polishes. However other Essie colours that I have only need one coat :)
Here it is after 2 (finished):

Yay! :) I really like Essie as they aren't too expensive (£7.99) like OPI, and I feel they dry faster too. I will definitely be repurchasing more Essie nail polishes in the future!

What do you think? Do you like Essie nail polishes? What are your favourite brands or colours?

Much love,
Jessica xo

Would you rather? Beauty Edition!

Hello lovelies! I've been reading a few of these posts! Including http://x-couturegirl-x.blogspot.co.uk and http://lyonsnotes.blogspot.co.uk/ :) And i really enjoyed reading them so i thought i would give it a go! Lets do this!

1.) Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?
Oh gosh, this is hard. I think i would have to say goodbye to my palettes and eyeshadows. I cant live without mascara and lipsticks can completely change the way you look. So bye bye eyeshadows!

2.) Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?
Ahhhhh! Thats horrible! Well i have always had long hair so i guess i would choose to never be able to cut it again, as it will just grow which is what i'm used to anyway haha!

3.) Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?
Probably pink! But thats just because that what i always use at the minute :)

4.) If you had $1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or makeup?
I would rather spend it on clothes! I would go to places i cant usually afford and i would go wild! haha

5.) Would you rather apply lipstick as eyeliner, or eyeliner as lipstick?
Ewww! erm, i guess i would choose eyeliner as lipstick as long as it was pinky/burgandy. If it was black i couldn't do it! But i will choose eyeliner as lipstick :)

6.) Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?
We don't have a Sephora here in the UK so i guess i would choose MAC. They have everything though so i think it would be fine :)

7.) Would you rather only use one eyeshadow color or one lip color for the rest of your life?
I would rather use only one lip color as at the minute, im not wearing many different colours on my lips anway and i love playing about with different eyeshadows.

8.) Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?
Definately wear winter clothes in the summer, living in the UK i pretty much do it anyway haha! Could you imagine walking around the snow in shorts and a tank top? oh no...

9.) Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?
I think i would rather have dark nails all year round, as i tend to gravitate towards dark colours more anyway!

10.) Would you rather give up your favorite lip product or your favorite eye product?
I would rather give up my favourite lip product and try different (maybe similar) colours instead haha! i love my naked 2 colours too much!

11.) Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?
hmmmmm, messy bun! (if i can perfect it haha)

12.) Would your rather never be able to paint your nails again or never use lipgloss?
Probably never use lipgloss, i would just use lipstick instead and i always paint my nails! I dont really like having bare nails for too long.

13.) Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or sharpie them in everyday?
ahhh this is soooo horrible! I dont even know if i can choose, i really dont like when girls look like they have sharpied their eyebrows on, but we all know how terrible we would look without any eyebrows at all so i guess i would have to sharpie them on! My worst nightmare haha!

14.) Would you rather live without makeup or nail polish?
I would have to live without nail polish, i never leave the door without even a little bit of makeup! But i would miss my colourful nails!

What do you guys think? Do you agree with me on any of these questions, id love to know in the comments! I read all your comments and anwser back to everyone! :) If you read this, i tag YOU! <3

Much love,
Jessica xo

Rimmel London's Apocalips Lip Lacquer

Hello lovelies!
So i'm currently sick at the moment which absolutely sucks! I've had a non stop headache for 2 days and I'm hot, got a stomach ache, all that good stuff. So i've been in bed a lot today...

My cat always decided a to lay on me in bed... Plus I think she knows when I'm ill! Hmmm...

BUT I decided why not make a blog post while I'm laying here. So I reached over beside me and picked up my Rimmel London Apocalips Lip Laquer.

I have it in the shade 102 Nova. I can't believe how vibrant and bright these colours are! I got this one thinking it would be not as dark as the others but it is really bright! I got it when they first came out so I didn't really read any reviews on it. Now when I look, there are many mixed reviews on them. Honestly, I've only worn it once, but not because I don't like it. I just reached over for balm or lipsticks instead. BUT it stayed on nearly all day and didn't really lose it's colour. However, weirdly I found after a while it made my lips dry, but I have very dry lips so I'm not sure if it's just the way my lips reacted. I love the colour of Nova even though I wasn't expecting it.

I'm not too sure on these Apocolips lip lacquers, so I want to find out more from you guys. What do you think of them? Any shades you would recommend? I would love to know! Love it of hate it?

Much love,
Jessica xo

MAC'S Prep + Prime and Satinfinish Foundation Review

Hello lovelies! The time has come (after 3 months of my using this foundation and primer) to do a review on these 2 products!

 (MAC's Prep + Prime - £19.50)

(MAC's Satinfinish Foundation in NC15 - £24.00)

Firstly, i'll start with the primer;
1. Although this primer is pricey and you can find other primers for half the price. Its worth the money! It really does the job and does feel like a high end product.
2. It makes me skin feel very very smooth and hydrated.
3. As i have dry skin i needed a primer that wouldn't dry out my skin, Mac's Prep + Prime definitely doesn't dry my skin. It is actually a really moisturising primer which i wasn't expecting.
4. It helps keep my foundation on all day and doesn't make my makeup patchy or cakey.
Negative -
The only negative i have about this product if the pump. You really don't need much of this primer as it goes a long way, but the pump makes it hard to get the little amount of product you need. You have to really push slow to get a tiny amount out, one slip and you have enough for 3 people!

And the Foundation;
1. I LOVE this foundation, it's pricey, but again i can definitely tell a difference between this foundation and a drugstore one.
2. It gives me just enough coverage; i didn't want a foundation that would give me full coverage and although it is lightweight, it does give me a 'flawless' look.
3. It's very moisturising (the lady recommended this one for dry skin) and makes my skin feel hydrated, it doesn't look cakey or heavy, and it applies easily and smoothly.
Again, the only negative is the pump, its hard to get a little amount without slipping and getting too much product.

I LOVE these two products and will definitely be repurchasing when i run out! Whats your favourite MAC product? Do you prefer drugstore foundations? Let me know in the comments, i'd love to know what you guys think! :)

Much love,
Jessica xo

Maybelline's Rocket Volume Express Mascara Review

Hello lovelies! So i'm here today with my first ever review post! I'm going to be reviewing my current mascara, which is Maybelline's rocket volume express mascara.

(Maybelline's Rocket Volume Express Mascara - £6.99)

I've been using Maybelline and Max Factor mascaras for as long as i can remember. I do like high end mascaras such as Cliniques mascara and Benefits. But, i feel these drugstore products do the job and at a much lower price. At the minutes, i am LOVING this mascara. It was featured in my Everyday Makeup Post. There are many good points to this mascara.
1. The mascara really does make my lashes appear much longer that they are. They also don't flatten my eyelashes so i don't have to curl my lashes all the time and they still look long and curly.
2. They really do give my eyelashes a lot of volume, the wand is small, but chunky. It applies just the right amount of mascara, making them have more volume and length.
3. The price is great. At £6.99 i feel this is a great steal because it does the same job as Clinique's mascaras do for example. It gives me the same look, it doesnt feel cheap. The mascara isnt too think or lumpy like some other cheap mascaras may feel like. It does the same as a high end mascara but for a drugstore price.
However, i have 1 tiny problem!
At the very start, it did make my eye lashes go clumpy. However i think it may be because it was the start of the mascara and there was a lot of product and so more product picked up on the wand which in turn put more on my eyelashes. No matter how much i tried to separate them, they would still clump together. Luckily, after a while of using it, there have not been as many clumps. It now feels even and not too thick or clumpy which is great!
Here's what it looks like on :)

(Sorry its a little blurry, but you get the gist!)

What do you think? Have you tried this or any of Maybellines mascaras? I love them! Let me know what your favourite mascara/or makeup is in the comments! I'd love to know :)
Have a great night,
Much love,
Jessica xo

My Favourite Face Products

Hey lovelies! :) I thought i would show you my current favourite face products, ranging from exfoliants to foundation, and do a review on them for you! :)

These are my favourite go to face products atm! (Mac's Prep + Prime,Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in 62 Rosewood, Clinique 7 day scrub, Garnier Moisture Match and Mac Satinfinish Foundation).

(Clinique 7 day scrub cream)
So, i bought this exfoliating cream about 2-3 months ago, i was debating on it because of the price (£16-£17). I usually would buy a drugstore product but i had been wanting it for a while and took the plunge! I am so glad i did, as this exfoliator really does its job. I have VERY dry skin all over my face and this exfoliator makes my skin feel really smooth and helps prevent my foundation looking cakey in the long run. I use it 3 times a week as i also have very sensitive skin so i dont want to cause a reaction. I definitely recommend this face cream, its easy to apply and rinse off as its not too thick and leaves my skin feeling silky smooth :)

(Garnier Moisture Match) - Dry to very dry skin
I came across these moisturisers at Boots, and instantly picked this one up, its perfect for my skin as its for very dry skin. It was only £3.99 which i thought was a great price for such a great moisturiser. At the minute i will not go back to any other moisturiser i've tried as this is the best one. I put it on right before i apply my foundation and it really hydrates my skin, the foundation then feels very smooth and my skin does not feel dry. The moisturiser helps my makeup to look silky and not cakey from my dry skin. I highly recommend this moisturiser. They also come in all skin types from very oily to normal skin so its perfect for everyone!

Mac's Prep + Prime (£19.50) and Mac's Mineralise Satinfinish Foundation (£24.00)
So i went down to London about 2 months ago and went straight to the MAC store, i had been debating whether to even go in there because i know i will want to buy absolutely everything there haha. I have never really used MAC before, apart from their brushes, because of the prices, before i had a job i obviously didn't have enough money, and so i stuck to drugstore foundations (particularly rimmel and max factor). Although these were good, i see a HUGE difference in Mac's products. The lady at the store asked if i wanted the Prep and prime with it as i have dry skin, it will help smooth my skin and leave my foundation on for longer and make it easier to apply. It does the job, and leaves my skin feeling silky, my foundation lasts all day and i really like how it feels on my skin, it doesn't leave it feeling dry at all. Secondly, i LOVE LOVE LOVE Mac's mineralise satin finish foundation, the woman recommended this foundation for my dry skin, and im glad she did. It leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth, its not heavy or full coverage but it gives me just enough coverage. I am in the lightest shade (NC15) as i am so pale haha. I will definitely be repurchasing this foundation in the future.

Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer (£4.19) - Sorry the writing rubbed off!
Anyone who is anyone has raved about this concealer. I remember when it first came out and i must have been about 14-15, i just started using makeup and bought this. I loved it then and i still love it now! I repurchased it after those 3-4 years and use it everyday. Its inexpensive and gives me great coverages over any blemishes i may have. I have it in the shade 'Light 2'. Its perfect to cover blemishes but also great to cover your under eye dark circles. I apply this after my foundation as its not too dark or light, its just the right shade for me. I have nothing bad to say about this concealer, it does not cake on my skin and its very lightweight. Love it! :)

Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in 62 Rosewood (£4-£5)
I never used to wear blusher, i dont really know why maybe it was because i am so pale and i didnt want to look like a clown haha. But, i purchased this last month and i have not stopped using it. Its a VERY lightweight blush which is just what i wanted. As i'm very pale i dont want a blusher that makes me look like i've used face paint on my cheeks! I can do a few strokes on each cheek with this blusher because its so light. Its just the right colour for my skin tone and it stays on all day. There isnt really anything bad i can say about this blusher, its perfect and they have lots and lots of pretty colours to try. I definitely recommend this if you are looking for a lightweight blusher! :)

Hope you guys enjoyed this blog post and check out some of these products for yourself! Let me know if you've tried any of these in the comments, and tell me what your favourite face products have been! :)
Hope you have a great day and rememeber to smile! :)
Much love,
Jessica xo
